Privacy policy

CurbSnap is published by United Integrated Support Services, LLC (“we”, “us”). This page describes how the Android app handles information. Contact: [email protected].

What stays on your phone

CurbSnap is a private address book. Photos you snap or import, text read from those photos, and contacts in your Personal, Business, and Work books are stored locally on the device. We do not receive those books on our servers unless you copy a contact into a shared book or use Team Improve with AI (see below).

What the app can access

Plans and billing

Free includes the full local curb book with a limit of 50 active contacts. Pro is for sale on Google Play ($6.99/month or $69.99/year) for unlimited local contacts plus zip backup and file export. Team is the same price per Google account and includes Pro plus Shared Books; cloud Improve with AI is a Team bonus when the cloud Worker is connected. Billing is handled by Google Play. We receive purchase status from Google so the app can unlock features; we do not collect your payment card details. There is no one-time License.

Team shared books (account + cloud sync)

If you subscribe to Team and create or join a shared book:

Team Improve with AI

When you have Team and the cloud Worker is connected, CurbSnap may send that contact’s photo (or crop) to a cloud AI provider through our backend to fill fields the on-phone reader missed. This runs when you tap Improve with AI, or automatically on some messy single vans/signs/cards. We do not send Personal/Business/Work books wholesale. The on-device text reader still runs without uploading. Fair-use quota: about 100 pictures per person per month, then on-phone reading only. Photos sent for Improve are processed to return contact fields; they are not used to train public AI models under our paid Google AI arrangement.

Backup

If Android Backup is on, local contact records and settings can be included in your Google backup. Capture photos are excluded from that cloud backup because of size limits; they can still copy during a phone-to-phone device transfer. Pro and Team can also make an optional zip file copy (contacts + photos). Shared-book data in Firebase is separate from Android Backup.

Sharing from the app

Call, text, email, share sheet, and save-to-Photos send data to the app you pick (Messages, Gmail, and so on). Those apps have their own policies. Mass text and email use the channels on your phone; we do not send those messages through a CurbSnap server.

Analytics and ads

The app does not include advertising or a third-party analytics SDK. We do not sell your information.

Children

CurbSnap is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
